In the News | Architectural Digest Italy | Return to British style

Our English Farm project is capturing international attention and was featured in September in Architectural Digest Italy.  For more than two years, our team has been constructing this sprawling estate in the rolling hills of the countryside, with the timeless design channeling our clients’ English heritage (design by Northworks Architects, Skin Interior Design and Hoerr Schaudt).  The estate is situated on 90 acres and includes a main residence, guest house, 82′ pool, greenhouse with raised garden beds and potting shed, sunken garden with outdoor fireplace, outdoor kitchen, multiple barns with pastures beyond for raising alpacas, as well as a 3.5 acre lake.

In the News | Great Lakes By Design | Terraced Dunes

That stunning home on the cover of the latest issue of Great Lakes by Design is one of the more technically challenging projects we have built.  This contemporary residence‘s series of decks and living spaces were built into the dune and achieved the need to accommodate both large groups and intimate gatherings for the homeowners amid a setting that embraces its lakefront waterscape.  We teamed up with the talents of Stoneberg + Gross Architects and Gooch Design Studio to bring this stunning lakefront home to life.  Read all about the unique materials and construction challenges that arose during the building process — the full article is available here.

In the News | Great Lakes By Design | Showroom Retreat

We teamed up with Via Design to construct a new accessory building on the lakefront property of one of our previous renovation projects, The Orchard.  Intended to serve as an auto showroom for the client’s car collection as well as entertaining space, this stunning barn boasts custom-designed-and-built features throughout.  From a corvette-inspired, two-story monolith to a car lift that allows automobiles to be moved between the main and lower levels, to a 100-year-old restaurant bar restored to its originally glory by our custom shop, every square inch of this project was mindfully designed and carefully constructed.  The Orchard’s Auto Barn was featured in the most recent issue of Great Lakes By Design Magazine, where you can read about more about the design and construction process of this masterpiece.
